Branch 360 / Queen St Mall, Brisbane 2013-2014 The St. George Bank “Branch 360” pilot at 221 Queen St, Brisbane is a customer centric design focusing on encouraging interaction through a variety of meeting spaces and learning experiences, ranging from the centrally located bank lounge to 24/7 Express Zone banking. To provide street presence a digitally wrapped “moneybox” concept was applied to the selfservice bunker in the 24/7 Express Zone. The interior design supported the new banking format of migrating transactions to smart self-serve devices. This created an opportunity for a modular, adaptive and agile workplace, resulting in a better customer experience. The traditional screened teller environment is replaced with an open, collaborative and friendly interior where staff greet customers, determine their needs and take them to the most appropriate zone to meet. Their journey is determined by the activity and privacy level required, customers have a choice of six different zones ranging from an open lounge to fully acoustically engineered consultation cubes with videoconferencing capabilities.
